Open Joint Stock Company Mogilevkhimvolokno is an exclusive big manufacturer of dimethyl terephthalate, PET chips (including bottle grade chips), polyester fibers and yarns in the Republic of Belarus and main supplier of raw materials for light industry - the biggest sector of national economy.

OAO Mogilevkhimvolokno is a one of the city-forming enterprises of Mogilev.

OAO Mogilevkhimvolokno is an integrated industrial complex which includes different production plants related to the process cycle –from raw materials (such as dimethyl terephthalate, polyethylene terephthalate) production to end products (such as fibers, yarns, nonwoven materials of different range and application) manufacturing.

The goods manufactured comply with the world quality standards and have a great demand: more than 65% of the goods are exported. The goods are exported to more than 30 countries in the world including Russian Federation, Ukraine, China, USA, Germany, Italy, Poland, Romania, Lithuania, Latvia.

At present moment enterprise consists of four factories and one construction-and- repair department:

• Organic Synthesis Factory producing dimethyl terephthalate, polyethylene terephthalate, bio diesel fuel;
• Synthetic Fiber Factory producing polyester fiber, PET chips, composite materials, polyester roofing material substrates, geotextile, polyester fiber-based nonwovens of various application, strapping band, fatty acid methyl esters;
• Polyester Yarn Factory producing industrial yarns;
• Machinery and Repair Factory manufacturing equipment and spare parts for chemical plants;
• Construction and Repair Department which carries out construction, erection and repair works.

OAO Mogilevkhimvolokno has a developed social infrastructure including: first class health resort "Sosny" for 470 persons, housing and utilities infrastructure including 16 dormitories, hotel for 143 persons, agricultural sector, fitness center, public catering sector including 2 shops, 6 canteens, coffee bar "Elegia".

Due to the efforts of employees of OAO "Mogilevkhimvolokno" and governmental support, a number of projects based on high technologies and latest scientific achievements ensuring production of competitive products having a stable demand on the world market were implemented.

Basic trend of the Program of OAO Mogilevkhimvolokno’s development for the period of 2010-2015 is improvement of existing capacities utilization, increase of competitiveness of manufactured goods by quality improvement and cost reduction.

It is planned to reach a goal by implementing the following investment projects and activities:

• Bottle grade PET production plant;
• Fatty acid methyl esters production plant;
• Revamping of spinning-and-finishing section of Polyester Yarn Factory;
• Revamping of plying and twisting section of Polyester Yarn Factory;
• Revamping of DMT production plant;
• Needle-punched nonwovens production line;
• Revamping of common utility plants;
• Increase of preform production capacities;
• Complete process line for PET waste recycling at Synthetic Fiber Plant.

Main strategy of the enterprise is to create state-of-the-art production plants manufacturing absolutely new competitive cost-effective products to meet market tendencies and satisfy requirements and expectations of customers. At that, we continue to develop traditional ranges of fibers and yarns, re-equip production facilities with high-tech, energy-saving, environment friendly equipment in order to compete and keep up with leading polyester products manufacturers.
